SUPREME COURT FINALLY PUBLISHES REPORT EXPOSING ALL THE IRREGULARITIES THAT WERE IN THE AUGUST 8TH ELECTION! SEE DETAILS
The Supreme Court has released a report detailing systemic irregularities that informed their decision to nullify President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win in the August polls.
The Registrar of the Supreme Court, Esther Nyaiyaki, through a report published on the Judiciary website, cited there were many issues with forms 34A and 34B in about 42 of the 290 constituencies.
Among the issues noted in the electoral forms include missing names of the constituency, name of constituency handwritten, lack of security features such as the serial number and the watermark, cases where the IEBC stamp looks different and others where the form runs into several pages.
In the scrutiny led by Ms Nyaiyaki, Coast, North Eastern, Turkana, West Pokot and parts of the Rift Valley were singled out as the regions with a majority of the problematic forms.
The report disclosed that Constituencies in the Coast region were leading in the myriad of irregularities.
In Kisauni, for example, the name of the constituency was handwritten while in Likoni, the returning officer (R.O) did not sign the form.
