REASON WHY NASA AND JUBILEE REPRESENTATIVES HAVE STORMED OUT OF THE IEBC MEETING AT THE BOMAS OF KENYA
National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee Party representatives on Wednesday hurriedly left the Bomas of Kenya shortly after going into a consultative meeting with the IEBC.
After the brief session that lasted about 40 minutes, the leaders rushed past the media with none of the parties divulging any information about the meeting only referring the press to the IEBC Chair.
Reports indicate that the leaders disagreed on the agenda items for discussion and had to adjourn after representatives asked for time to consult with their principals.
Siaya Senator James Orengo, NASA CEO Norman Magaya and Lawyer Paul Mwangi represented the Opposition Leader, Raila Odinga, in the talks.
Jubilee Party secretary Raphael Tuju, Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and former Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir represented President Uhuru Kenyatta.
IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati, however, noted that the electoral body will give a brief on what transpired in the meeting in the afternoon.
The session is set to resume at 2:00 pm.
