IS CHEBUKATI RESIGNING?? IEBC'S WAFULA CHEBUKATI FINALLY SPEAKS AFTER THE SUPREME COURT NULLIFIED UHURU'S WIN IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

....committed to ensuring that the forthcoming polls will be done in accordance with the law. 

Earlier today, the Court found that IEBC did not conduct free and fair elections and nullified President Kenyatta's re-election, ordering for a fresh presidential poll in 60 days. 

The court stated that IEBC did not follow the set rules in conducting the elections but cleared the third respondent (President Kenyatta) of any malpractice. 

They also stated that the irregularities experienced affected the final outcome of the election. 

Out of the 7 judges, 2 (Justice Jackton Ojwang' and Njoki Ndung'u) gave dissenting views saying the election was free and fair. According to the two judges, the alleged election malpractices were not sufficient to warrant the nullification of the Presidential results.
