Oliech has been the trending topic on Twitter since Wednesday after a picture of him and Coach Ghost Mulee went viral. Kenyans ridiculed him saying he had gone broke after wasting his money on women instead of investing.

The 2002 CECAFA Cup Golden Boot winner, however, says he does not care about what people are saying online about him.

“I have made news headlines – good and the bad – for ten years now. I have seen it all on mainstream and social media, and the online hate directed at me is not new. If anything, I do not consume gossip,” said Oliech.
