DP RUTO SPEAKS ON RAILA ODINGA'S OCTOBER 26TH MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

He expressed confidence in the commission's ability to deliver a credible poll despite an earlier admission by the electoral body's Chairperson Wafula Chebukati, that he could not guarantee a free and fair election under the current circumstances.

Former IEBC Commissioner Dr Roselyne Akombe also revealed that the commission had been compromised and top officials were serving partisan interests.

“The electoral agency should be left to perform their duties without consulting us as politicians. Ours is to seek votes from the electorate," DP Ruto stated.

He went on to add: “We have lost a lot through the current political instability. We believe that only the Kenyan people can restore the nation’s dignity by voting on Thursday."

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has declared that there will be no election on October 26 because the electoral body failed to meet it's 'Irreducible Minimums' conditions for the fresh election.
