....issue an apology while facing Mount Kenya as is the custom with communities from Central Kenya. 

"I was removed from the police station and they closed my eyes, took me to an unknown location when I opened my eyes I was in handcuffs, my hands and legs were both handcuffed. They took me in the middle of the forest for 1 hour 30 minutes and they said if I do not apologise while facing mount Kenya they would inject me with mercury. The only time we will leave you is when you are finished,” He told presenters Jalango and Jeff Koinange during the morning show. 

Once he declined to issue an apology, he was brought back to his cell where he claims street urchins were summoned to harass him. 

Still on the issue of apologies, Babu Owino maintained that he did not owe anyone any apologies, since his utterances never pinned down anyone by name.
