IS CHEBUKATI RESIGNING?? IEBC'S WAFULA CHEBUKATI FINALLY SPEAKS AFTER THE SUPREME COURT NULLIFIED UHURU'S WIN IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has issued a statement after the Supreme Court nullified the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a statement, IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati cleared himself of any blame and welcomed the ruling by the Court stating that the Commission would make internal changes to their personnel. 

He announced that he would not resign from his position adding that IEBC will invite the Director of Public Prosecutions to investigate and prosecute all election offenders. 

The Chair also urged the Supreme Court to speedily provide a detailed ruling so that the Commission can correct the errors committed ahead of the repeat Presidential election.
