IEBC SET TO CHANGE ELECTION DATE AFTER NEW DISCOVERY EMERGED

IEBC may after all be forced to change the date set for the fresh elections after French firm OT Morpho asked for more time from the commission to reconfigure the Kenya Integrated Election Management Systems (KIEMS).

Sources disclosed that OT Morpho had requested the commission to postpone the polls to 26th October.

“Since Morpho gave its oral presentations, the talk of change of the election date has gained traction in the commission but has not become a substantive agenda,” a source at the IEBC told the Nation. “The commission will meet again on Monday to discuss a six-page report by Morpho and concretise its decision”, they added.
