DP RUTO HECKLED AND CHASED WHILE CAMPAIGNING FOR PRESIDENT UHURU'S RE-ELECTION

Deputy President William Ruto was today heckled by NASA supporters in Western as he tried to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

The deputy president, who was accompanied by former Vihiga County Governor Moses Akaranga, was denied a chance to address residents at Majengo village in Vihiga.

The visit by the DP comes a week after President Kenyatta received a delegation of politicians from the Western region, among them Mr Akaranga.

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua also faced a rough time after Ukambani residents booed him and blocked his motorcade as he campaigned for President Kenyatta in Machakos.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader was booed down by NASA supporters in Tala town centre.
