BREAKING NEWS .... 7 FEARED DEAD AFTER HORRIFIC ACCIDENT ALONG THIKA ROAD AFTER BUS PLYING MWIKI ROUTE RAMMED INTO LORRY

Seven people are feared dead after a matatu plying the Nairobi-mwiki route collided with a lorry on the Nairobi-Thika superhighway near EABL this afternoon.

An eye witness revealed that a lorry in front of the bus burst its front tyre and the driver struggled to steer it to the edge of the road. The matatu driver could not react fast enough when a stone fell from the lorry. It tumbled on the stone, rolled over the rails and landed on the outbound lanes. 

It crushed a 14-seater matatu destined for Nanyuki and two other personal cars.

This has led to heavy traffic on the busy highway as police try to clear the wreckage. A huge crowd has gathered at the scene of the accident and several ambulances have been dispatched.
