Ruto joined NASA on April 19 but his stay was short-lived.

“Uhuru and Ruto talked to me into coming back. Tulianza pamoja na yeye (Uhuru) ndiyo maana tuko na yeye saa hii. Tumekuja na tunaunga Uhuru mkono (We began in Uhuru’s camp and that is why we are with him now. We are here to back him),” he stated.

“I want us to work together. I have come back with all the people. I sat down and said there is no permanent enemy in politics,” he remarked.

His sentiments were echoed by other leaders in the region who had previously dumped the Jubilee Party who stated that ‘only a fool cannot change his mind.’
