A Colombian woman, 30, is lucky to be alive after a team of surgeons managed to remove a whopping Kshs 721000 (US$ 7000) from her stomach.

The surgeons removed some of the money from her intestine and the rest were passed through her colon. 

She allegedly ate up the cash in attempts to hide it during a fight with her husband. 

“I had saved up the money for a holiday with my husband after having sold several electrical household items,” she told a local TV station.
