Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has revealed the surprising things that took place behind the scenes after he was arrested over hate speech remarks.

The legislator was arrested then released and soon after re-arrested over separate charges. 

Speaking to Hot 96 radio on Wednesday, October 4, the former SONU chair shed some light on how he was allegedly tortured and mistreated for three nights. 

According to Owino, he was compelled to issue an unnecessary apology to police officers, something he said he declined to do. 

He was then allegedly blindfolded and handcuffed and taken to an unknown forest on the first night he spent behind bars.
