IEBC SET TO CHANGE ELECTION DATE AFTER NEW DISCOVERY EMERGED




.....October 24th, 26th or 30th. The French firm has already sent a six-page report to the commission detailing how long it will take to reconfigure the 45,000 kits. 

“The date is still October 17, but Safran has presented its report and we will look at it and make decisions,” IEBC commissioner Paul Kurgat revealed. In the report, OT Morpho disclosed that the kits would have to be configured with the names of the two presidential candidates, Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga. 

Another modification to the KIEMS system is that the names of 14,000 candidates for the five other elective seats and their results will have to be removed for the kits to be used. 

During the meetings with the commission, a delegation from OT Morpho led by Chief Executive Anne Bouverot admitted that it may be unable to upgrade the Voter Transmission System by the set date.
