IEBC MAKES MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER NAIVASHA RETREAT
Chebukati divulged that the CEO had been instructed to assess the implementation challenges that were experienced in the August polls and propose a project implementation framework so that the electoral body will be ready to deliver a successful election come October 17.
He further insisted that none of the Commissioners, including himself, was partisan dismissing allegations that he has been meeting NASA principals.
He asked anyone with evidence of the hours or days he secretly met any political parties or agents to avail it noting that all meetings held outside the Commission offices were always work-related.
The officials went on retreat to reflect on the August 8 elections and the emerging issues as they prepare for the repeat presidential contest between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga. Here is Chebukati's statement:
