IEBC MAKES MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER NAIVASHA RETREAT
Speaking in Naivasha where the Commissioners retreated over the weekend, Chebukati affirmed that the officials have resolved to work together as one despite recent challenges facing the Commission.
Chebukati noted that the officials were committed to doing the work they were appointed to do in accordance with the law adding that none of them would be fired.
He acknowledged that he had written the memo which leaked to the media last week addressed to CEO Ezra Chiloba but noted that it was supposed to be confidential.
The Chairman stated that Chiloba and the Secretariat had already addressed the issues raised promising that the Commission would furnish the country with more details about it.
“We resolved to review the responses by the Secretariat and communicate the same to the public at the appropriate time,” he stated.
